the Haryana Government has released Third Party Certification / Audit Scheme to simplify the business regulations (Ease of Doing Business)

As per notification published in the Haryana Government Gazette dated 15th May 2018, the Haryana Government has released Third Party Certification / Audit Scheme to simplify the business regulations (Ease of Doing Business), to facilitate entrepreneurs for making the compliance of the provisions of various labour laws easy. The scheme is optional. Under The Factories Act, 1948 the factory audit will be conducted by Safety Auditors recognized as per approval by the Chief Inspector of Factories. The scheme is also applicable to other labour laws viz.

LATE FEE ON DELAY IN FILING INCOME TAX RETURN FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31ST MARCH, 2018 (Asst.Yr: 2018-19) under sec. 234F:

1. If Return filed during 01/04/2018 – 31/07/2018 : Late Fee NIL

2.  If Return filed during 01/08/2018 – 31/12/2018 : Late fee Rs. 5000

If total income does not exceed Rs.5 Lakhs then this Late fee will be restricted to Rs. 1000

3.  If Return filed during 01/01/2019 – 31/03/2019 : Late Fee Rs. 10000

If total income does not exceed Rs.5 Lakhs then this Late Fee will be restricted to Rs. 1000 only.

The issue whether minimum wages could be split up into basic wages and other allowances for the purpose of PF is pending before Supreme Court.  Madras High Court in its order dated 17.4.2018 has held that PF Department can make enquiry in such matter but demand cannot be enforced till such time issue is decided by Supreme Court.
